Our History
The Haven was constructed in 2003 as part of a long term strategy to promote Ventnor as a working seaside town. The current phase of the project, continuing over the next few years will aim to provide further haven facilities including the construction of various marine related harbour-side projects.
In the last 2 years, Private Investors have provided further facilties including a Harbourside fish restaurant and coffee shop, boat builders, boat charter, a fish landing stage with fishery outlet and fish and chip shop.

Commercial Moorings
One of the original criteria of the Haven was to provide a safe haven from which the local shellfish industry could operate from. Prior to the completion of the Haven, fishing vessels worked from Ventnor Beach.
Leisure Long Stay
Pontoon and mooring space is available on a first come first serve basis. Allocations will be made each year by the Harbour Supervisor. Please contact him at the beginning of the season. All vessels must be removed from the Haven before the end of September unless winter mooring permission is obtained.
